Connecting to cFree Wireless
- The venue SSID should be found automatically in your wireless card’s configuration utility. Look for the “cFree Wireless” SSID, and select connect.
- Launch your web browser, and you will be taken to the cFree Wireless site.
- Start surfing!

Wireless card issues
- Be sure your wireless card (PCMCIA or SD socket) is plugged in tightly to the correct slot. You should see a light on the card that indicates a signal lock.
- Look for the SSID (cFree Wireless) of the Hotspot in your wireless card’s utility program (often an icon in the taskbar), or in Windows, go to Network Properties and try “Make New Connection”.
- You must have both a signal lock indicator on the card and a network connection using the cFree Wireless SSID. If not, the problem lies with your device and its wireless card operation.
- You must resolve these issues for your device before moving on to the next step.
TCP/IP configuration
- In an MS DOS shell, try “ipconfig /all”, “ipconfig /release”, and then “ipconfig /renew”
- Make sure DHCP is enabled to obtain IP address automatically.
- Instead of a static DNS address, configure to obtain DNS automatically (dynamically).
